  Late Summer 2017

Dear Friend of our Foundation:

As we begin to see the season change from Summer to Fall, our foundation enters into a busy time with a birthday, anniversary and fundraiser. It's an emotional time but one we hope to turn into good energy.

September 25th would have been Emma's 23rd birthday and as we have each year, we've marked this day by planting trees. We've partnered with One Tree Planted to plant 23 trees for Emma's birthday from our family and a tree for each donation that we've received this quarter. Read more below about our Tree Planting program that is funded by Amazon Smile.

As we honored Emma's 4th anniversary on October 6th, we hope to turn the somber feeling in our hearts in to a celebration as our Peace Love & Emma: A Celebration of Music and Art approaches. Once again we'll be at Jergel's in Warrendale for a day filled with reflection, music and local artists. Hope you can join us on November 11th.

We also invite you to help us make Halloween a bit brighter for some kids in Pittsburgh's North Side as we collect and distribute new and gently used costumes in support of a FUN night at Providence Connections. A great way to pass your blessings on to a family that can use a bit of help this time of year. Details can be found below.

We hope you know how much your love and support mean to OUR foundation - we feel your presence with each project that we do TOGETHER and truly believe that collectively we can CHANGE the world.

Much Love to you all!

'More than a cup of coffee'
- Bitty & Beau's

During one of our beach cleanups we connected with friends in Wilmington North Carolina. Although the morning was a bit wet with brief but relentless rain, the bright spot of the day came as we enjoyed coffee afterwards at Bitty & Beau's.

A favorite spot among the locals, Bitty & Beau's has been helping those with intellectual disabilities find gainful and meaningful employment for the past 2 years. We were greeted by Matt (a Rock Star in our view!) and felt at home as we enjoyed our morning coffee. We love love love what Amy Wright and family have done for the local community and are inspired by the Able To Work non-profit.

We made a donation to Able To Work from our foundation.

'A celebration of
Music & Art'
- Meet us at Jergel's on November 11th

For us it's like our foundation's Annual Meeting.

Once again we'll meet at Jergel's Rhythm Grille in Warrendale (Saturday November 11th) and celebrate the work that we've done over the past year with live music, local artists and an update on what what's next for our foundation.

You can get tickets on-line at Peace, Love & Emma - we hope you can join us!

Companies big and small want to do their part to help others, we've aligned with familiar companies - 1 big and 1 local to help us help others. Read about how we turn 2 great programs into support for our Mankind and Mother Earth initiatives.

Amazon Smile is a way to support our efforts while shopping on-line. Amazon's support helps fund our tree planting program to give back to Mother Earth.

For Halloween we're collecting new and gently used costumes to help kids in our area have as great a Halloween night as possible - working with Providence Connections (one of our Henry's List partners).

If your kids have great Halloween memories, consider recycling their costumes by providing them to kids whose parents may be struggling this time of year. Help us outfit them for Trick or Treat night - and consider joining us on October 19th to help get the party started.
